About Us

Get Started Home Services is a full-service seniors moving and home transition company. We don’t just move boxes. We handle the whole transition for older adults and their families: packing, sorting, moving, setting up the current home, and clearing out what’s left through auction, donation and disposal. How we treat our clients matters as much as how well we move them.

The Role

We’re hiring an experienced Team Lead who can run a job from start to finish without supervision. You’ll lead a crew of 2-4 on site, follow a written Plan of Action for each client, and be the person the client and their family deal with on the day.

This is physical work, and some days you’ll be helping families through an emotional time. If you’re steady under pressure and good with people, you’ll do well here. The right person will have a clear path to leading crews and helping run day-to-day operations as we grow.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Start times vary by job and location.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and direct a crew on moves, downsizing jobs and estate clear-outs
- Review each job’s Plan of Action and execute it, adjusting on the fly when things change
- Communicate with clients and families with patience and respect
- Sort belongings into keep, auction, donation and disposal streams, and handle valuables with care
- Coordinate building access, elevator bookings and loading with seniors residences
- Pack, wrap, load and unload safely,



and set up furniture and essentials in the client’s new home
- Tow a trailer and drive company vehicles to job sites, donation drop-offs and the transfer station
- Complete a Daily Work Report for each job day (hours, vehicle use, dump runs, donations, auction items)
- Train newer crew members and keep jobs on schedule

What You Bring

- 2+ years of residential moving experience, including at least 1 year leading a crew
- Valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract
- Experience towing a trailer (box truck experience is an asset)
- Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work full physical days
- Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for schedules, job notes and reports
- Willing to complete a criminal record check
- Reliable, punctual, and able to start immediately

Nice to Have

- Experience working with seniors, in healthcare, or in senior living
- Estate clearing, packing or furniture assembly experience
- First Aid certification
