About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and customer-focused individual to join our team at OAKBERRY The Post in downtown Vancouver!

As a Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing and serving our signature açaí bowls and smoothies while creating a fun, welcoming, and positive experience for every customer.

At OAKBERRY, we believe that outstanding customer service starts with a great attitude. We are looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, works well in a team, and takes pride in delivering quality products and excellent service.

You will report directly to the Store Manager/Owner and play an important role in representing the OAKBERRY brand.

Responsibilities

- Greet and serve customers with a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude.
- Prepare and serve a variety of OAKBERRY açaí bowls, smoothies, and other products according to company standards.
- Follow established operating procedures and food safety guidelines,



including temperature checks, proper food storage, stock rotation, and sanitation.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns professionally and knowledgeably.
- Prepare açaí, fruits, toppings, and other ingredients for daily operations.
- Multitask efficiently and work toward OAKBERRY's 2-minute product turnaround time while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Prepare and package online and mobile orders accurately and efficiently.
- Enter, process, and collect payments for customer orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, customer areas, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure all areas of the store are properly stocked, organized, and ready for service.
- Develop strong knowledge of OAKBERRY products, including pricing, nutritional information, topping options, and ingredients, to confidently make recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a positive, efficient, and supportive work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Friendly, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine passion for customer service.

- Reliable, punctual, and able to take responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Ability to remain organized, calm,



and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate or willingness to obtain one before performing food-handling duties.
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, cashiering, or sales is an asset but not required.

Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with kitchen tools, food preparation equipment, and food safety practices.
- Experience using POS systems and mobile ordering platforms.
- Previous experience working in a quick-service restaurant, café, or customer-facing environment.
- Interest in açaí, nutritious food, health, and wellness.
- Comfortable engaging with customers and making product recommendations.
