Organization Overview
Community Care Durham (CCD) is a multi-service registered charitable organization providing a broad range of services for individuals over the age of 16 and their caregivers. CCD delivers high‐quality programs and services that promote independence, connection, and enhanced quality of life.
Board Governance Model The CCD Board of Directors functions as a governance Board, with accountability for strategic direction, fiduciary oversight, risk governance, and CEO evaluation. The Board’s work is focused on policy, stewardship, and long‐term organizational sustainability.
We are seeking Board Members with experience in Legal & Regulatory
Primary Contribution: Technical legal and regulatory depth
Ideal Background:
- Practicing or retired lawyer, or senior legal executive
- Expertise in one or more of the following:
- Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA)
- Health law and privacy
