Absolute Distribution & Hydraulics is a growing hydraulic, hose, fittings, industrial supply, and service company based in Peace River, Alberta. We support customers in oilfield, agriculture, trucking, construction, forestry, municipal, industrial, and repair sectors throughout Northern Alberta.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and hands-on individual to join our team as a Warehouse / Hose Technician.

Position Overview The Warehouse / Hose Technician is responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse operations, receiving and organizing inventory, picking and preparing customer orders, building hydraulic hose assemblies, keeping the warehouse clean and organized, and assisting customers and staff as required.

This is a hands-on position. The right person must be dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Receiving freight and verifying incoming shipments.
- Putting away inventory in proper bin locations.
- Picking, packing, and staging customer orders.
- Assembling hydraulic hoses to customer specifications.
- Cutting hose, selecting fittings, crimping assemblies, and checking finished product quality.




- Labelling, tagging, and organizing hose assemblies and customer orders.
- Keeping the warehouse, hose bay, yard, and work areas clean and organized.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Helping correct part number, bin location, and quantity issues.
- Preparing orders for customer pickup and delivery.
- Assisting walk-in customers when required.
- Supporting VMI orders, deliveries, and restocking when needed.
- Loading and unloading freight using safe lifting practices and equipment.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment where trained and authorized.
- Following company procedures for receiving, order picking, hose building, inventory, and safety.
- Communicating clearly with inside sales, warehouse staff, management, and customers.
- Supporting general branch operations as needed.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:
- Warehouse, shipping/receiving, hose bay, mechanical, parts, or industrial experience preferred.
- Hydraulic hose and fittings experience would be considered a strong asset.
- Ability to read part numbers, measurements, labels, and order information.
- Strong attention to detail.




- Good organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift, move, and organize parts, hose, fittings, and inventory.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence preferred.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- First Aid and H2S are assets, but training may be provided where required.
