Please submit your application only if you have extensive experience as a Health Care Aide supporting complex care and transferring by using ceiling lifts. The expected availability is for 10 / 12-hour shifts from 8:00 a.m. We have available shifts from Monday to Sunday.

About Us: We are a local non-franchise home care company providing medical and non-medical home care to seniors in British Columbia and Alberta. We employ Health Care Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses. We are licensed, bonded and insured, and all staff are covered under WCB.

Duties may include:

- Ability and knowledge to safely support transferring and ambulation.
- Personal Care
- Support therapy activities
- Companionship
- Meal prep
- Dementia, Alzheimer and Parkinson's support
- Medication reminders
- Light Housekeeping
- Completing records accurately and carrying out all assignments as requested

Requirements:

- Minimum one year of experience supporting complex care.
- Hold a valid permit to work in Canada
- Registered Health Care Aide or have a Nursing Degree in Canada or another country
- Valid First Aid and CPR





Experience :

- Minimum one year of experience in this field (CNA Preferred)
- Operating Ceiling lifts
- Experience with patients with Dementia, Alzheimer and Parkinson's
- Ability and knowledge to safely transfer patients.

Language:

- Good English communication and comprehension

Skills and Abilities :

- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others compassionately and supportively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate medical equipment
