Duties

- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients in accordance with safety standards.
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors.
- Help with food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, sanitation, and cleanliness in line with health regulations.
- Contribute to meal planning efforts by organizing ingredients and assisting in portioning dishes.
- Maintain a tidy work environment by cleaning utensils, equipment,



and workstations regularly.
- Serve food to guests or residents in a courteous and professional manner during meal times.
- Support catering events or special functions by setting up serving stations and assisting with food presentation.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
- Kitchen experience within restaurants or the food industry is preferred; familiarity with food handling and safety protocols is essential.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations.
