We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Taproom Assistant Manager to join our West Bedford Taproom / Retail team.

Located in Dartmouth on the historic Shubenacadie Canal, Nine Locks has quickly become a leader in the Nova Scotia craft beer industry. Our award-winning products are available in restaurants and stores throughout the region. Since first opening our doors, we have remained committed to producing the finest craft beer possible and having one heck of a time doing it.

Responsibilities

- Assist in overseeing daily taproom operations, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to company policies.
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating a positive atmosphere for both guests and team members.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Committed to being inclusive and embracing diversity
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and bookkeeping activities with accuracy and integrity.
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote store promotions and special events.
- Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the taproom environment.




- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to coordinate food service and ensure timely delivery of orders.

Qualifications

- Strong leadership abilities with proven supervising experience in taprooms, restaurants or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Square POS, and cash handling procedures.
- Proven leadership skills: desire to develop and motivate the people around you to always be their best
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest interactions professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in interviewing and training new staff members.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to lead by example in a team-oriented setting.
- Management Serve-Right Certification
- 2+ years of experience in a management / supervisory role in the hospitality industry.
- Previous experience in the craft beer industry an advantage.

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
