Job Summary

Duties

- Offer mentoring and emotional support to clients throughout their recovery process, often in a Sharing Circle format
- Develop personalised recovery plans in collaboration with participants and relevant stakeholders
- Assist clients in developing life skills, including communication, organisation, and self-care
- Work closely with adults who have been homeless and may suffer with intergenerational trauma and SUD providing tailored guidance and encouragement based on ReACT, EnRoute, Wellbriety, Medicine Wheel
- Facilitate cultural activities and behavioural land based healing programmes to promote positive development
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed records and case notes of participants interactions and achievements
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Organise group activities and field trips aimed at building resilience and fostering community engagement
- Advocate for clients’ needs within multidisciplinary teams to optimise recovery outcomes

Experience

- Prior experience in mentoring or coaching roles, preferably within health or social care settings




- Psychic Nurse and / or Social Work training and experience
- Experience working in a Healing Team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people facing substance use disorder, behavioural or emotional challenges
- Experience in teaching or delivering educational programmes is highly desirable
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Organised with excellent record-keeping abilities and attention to detail
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting positive behavioural change

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
