Highland Valley Copper (HVC) Operations is Canada’s largest open-pit copper mine and molybdenum operation. Located approximately 17 kilometers west of Logan Lake and about 50 kilometers southwest of Kamloops in British Columbia, the surrounding areas of HVC have an abundant offering of outdoor experiences.
Through programs like CSL, we empower every employee to be a safety leader, fostering a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, Millwrights are tasked with the repair and maintenance of on-site structures and equipment. Millwrights work a 4x4 rotation, consisting of two days, two nights, followed by four days off. as such, candidates must reside locally and be able to commute to site independently. Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Preventative maintenance, machinery installation and machine repair
Read and interpret blueprints, manuals or millwright process specifications
Troubleshoot production problems and take preventative or corrective action
Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright certification
Industrial experience is an asset
Must be willing to work shift work
High School Diploma or equivalent
Hourly Wage: $56.61
Highland Valley Copper is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere.
