Work with another senior to investigate data issues and validate root causes across services
Dive into SQL, logs, or metrics to confirm how systems behave under real conditions
Communicate decisions in a way that keeps engineers and non‑technical partners aligned
Senior‑level Ruby on Rails capability, demonstrated through production systems that handle real concurrency and scale
Strong SQL fluency applied to diagnosing data behaviour, validating assumptions, and resolving root‑cause issues in complex flows
Experience with BI or ETL tools such as Metabase or Looker
Comfort with React or React Native
Exposure to fintech, payroll, or other regulated environments
Some features rely on data coming from many places, so you will need to confirm what is actually happening before making changes
Strengthen the reliability of financial workflows so customers experience fewer blocked payouts and support handles fewer urgent tickets
Reduce production risks by catching data issues early, giving the engineering pod calmer releases and leadership fewer compliance worries
Improve cross‑team clarity by translating technical decisions into plain language, helping product and care ship smoother changes
