The Section Manager Tooling is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and management of the tooling function to ensure production goals are met adequately and in a timely manner. health and safety and plant operationsSelecting optimum tool layouts, press size and vendorReviewing final design for final approval prior to manufactureResponsible for tooling capability until production releaseWork with die suppliers to improve out of the box reliability for new and replacement toolingReview and analyze tooling performance and data to increase productivity, quality and reliabilityWork with engineering and sales at quoting stage to provide the most accurate information, help drive quote acceptanceReport die shop KPI at the daily production meetings as well as monthly and annual reports and plansCommunicate any apparent relative information on tooling issues and delays to the production and sales teamsMinimum Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of technical and mechanical trades experience in a high paced manufacturing fieldEducation: Certificate of Qualification in Tool and Die Making or equivalent related tradeMinimum 5 years experience in cold stamping including progressive and
