Accounts Receivable Clerk

True World Foods Canada is one of North America's leading wholesale distributors of fresh and frozen seafood, as well as specialty grocery products. As part of the True World Foods group, which operates more than 25 locations across the United States, our Canadian operations continue to grow through five divisions located in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, and Quebec City.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong numerical and analytical skills, and take pride in maintaining accuracy and efficiency, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers, investigate discrepancies, and resolve account issues promptly.
- Process and reconcile payments from multiple sources, including credit cards, e-transfers, EFTs, cheques, and cash.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing while maintaining up-to-date customer accounts.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and collaborate with sales representatives to address collection issues.
- Conduct regular accounts receivable review meetings with the sales team to discuss outstanding balances and collection strategies.
- Monitor aged receivables, particularly accounts over 60 days outstanding, and ensure adherence to COD payment requirements.
- Respond professionally and efficiently to customer inquiries regarding billing and payments.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including collections performance, payment trends, and aging reports.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of standardized accounts receivable policies and procedures.
- Process daily credit card transactions and reconcile related records.




- Prepare bank deposits and ensure accurate recording of all incoming funds.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and year-end audit requirements.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- 2-3 years of accounts receivable and collections experience is plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software and financial systems.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated sense of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
- Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, or Korean is considered a strong asset.
- General computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
