The opportunity

The Gold Pan Saloon is a lively, well-loved restaurant and bar in downtown Whitehorse, known for its energy, character, and connection to the local community. As part of NVD, it is a place where quality, hospitality, and northern authenticity come together.

As a Breakfast Server, you'll be the face of Gold Pan Saloon, creating a welcoming atmosphere while delivering attentive, professional service. You'll take food and beverage orders, provide menu recommendations, ensure accurate and timely service, and help create an experience that keeps guests coming back. Whether serving regular locals or visitors exploring the North, you'll play a key role in making every guest feel valued and welcome.

What does your success look like?

- Guests feel genuinely welcomed, looked after, and leave wanting to return or recommend Gold Pan Saloon to others.
- The breakfast service runs smoothly, with minimal wait times and few service errors.
- Orders are accurate, timely, and coordinated well with the kitchen, so food arrives at the right temperature and pace.
- Cash-outs and POS transactions are processed accurately, supporting timely and accurate daily reconciliation.

What you bring to the role

- Previous serving or customer-service experience in a hospitality environment.
- A morning-ready attitude: you'll arrive on time, prepared, and able to perform in early shifts.
- Communication: Clear, skilled, and efficient to get orders right the first time.
- Community-Minded: You enjoy getting to know regulars and being part of a local favorite.
- Ability to manage multiple tables,



tasks, and priorities while maintaining composure.
- Team Player: You collaborate well with others and contribute to a positive team culture.

Employment conditions:

Must be 19 years of age, BARS Certification (may be obtained within 30 days post hire).

Requirements:

- Ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs;
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach throughout the shift; and
- Ability to work mornings (starting anytime from 6:00 a.m. onward)
