Job Title: Application Consultant

Location: Remote in Canada

Duration: 12+ months

Pay Range: C$65 to C$75

Must have Enhanced Reliability security clearance

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as an Application Consultant specializing in Healthcare Applications. This role requires a solid understanding of system security, performance, and healthcare IT environments. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to ensure the reliability and security of our integrated enterprise systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with Windows Server environments

- Application support experience

- Design, develop, integrate, configure, and support information system components across multi-platform, three-tier IT environments using messaging and integration protocols such as HL7, Web Services, BizTalk, MQ Series, and WebSphere.

- Implement, operate, and maintain information system security architectures, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Citrix Thin-Client architecture, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

- Perform systematic information system troubleshooting, including documented diagnosis, problem analysis, root cause identification, and recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.

- Install, integrate, configure, and maintain Citrix XenApp 6 or later in environments involving Client, LPAR, Windows Server 2008 or later, AIX 7 or later, VPNs, and firewalls.

- Support system backup, recovery,



and disaster recovery architecture, including planning, testing, implementation, operations, maintenance, and recovery validation.

- Configure and manage IT system security across network and application layers, endpoint protection software, multi-factor authentication (MFA), firewalls, and VPNs.

- SQL knowledge – Ability to query the database and debug problems

- Peripheric knowledge – scanners, barcode readers, signature pads, etc.

- Citrix knowledge (application-based), Citrix Policy

- Group Policy management

- Prior work experience in the healthcare industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- SQL Server knowledge

- Pharmacy process knowledge

- Experience managing system upgrades

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Monitor system security, performance, and availability; identify operational deficiencies and implement improvements

- Design, develop, integrate, configure, and support information system components across multi-platform environments

- Implement, operate, and maintain information system security architectures

- Perform systematic information system troubleshooting and provide recommendations for corrective actions

- Support system backup, recovery, and disaster recovery architecture

- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, network, and security teams to resolve incidents and maintain service continuity
