We've created a collaborative, engaging workplace where people choose to build long-term careers.What You'll Be DoingDevelop detailed engineering designs and drawings for civil municipal and land development projects, including water, sewer, stormwater, roadways, and site gradingTranslate concepts, sketches, and field data into accurate plans using Civil 3D and other technical softwarePrepare documentation for permits and approvals, including design reports, cost estimates, and tender packagesCoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standardsIdentify and resolve design and field issues proactively, applying independent problem-solvingSupport contract administration, construction coordination, and technical reviews as neededWhat You'll BringDiploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or a related discipline7+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering consulting or a similar technical roleAdvanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essentialRegistration as an AScT (or eligibility)



or other relevant technical accreditations are considered an assetExperience with stormwater, sanitary, water system design/modeling and construction inspection is an assetExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to clientsProject management or coordination experience, including stakeholder communication, budget tracking, and documentation to support timely and efficient project deliveryStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proven ability to manage project workflows and produce high-quality deliverables with minimal supervisionWhat Can We Offer You?The salary range for this position is $71,000 – $110,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual's education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting.
