Project Controls Analyst - CostOn behalf of our oil & gas client, Procom is seeking a Project Controls Analyst for a 12 month contract. This is an onsite role in Calgary with occasional field visits to Fort McMurray.Project Controls Analyst - Cost - Job Description / ResponsibilitiesProvide project controls cost management expertise and consult with project team members on assigned projectsManage commitments, actual costs and allocationsCalculate incurred costs and develop and maintain the incurred cost forecast (ICF)Perform cost variance, trend and root cause analysisMaintain the project contingency and escalation management plansDevelop and produce project cost reportingMaintain the project change log, and initiate, coordinate and manage Project Change Notices (PCNs)Coordinate with estimating and scheduling on cost and schedule impacts of potential changesAlert the Project Controls Manager to potential or real deviations from the control budget as early as possibleComplete progressive closeout of cost and benchmarking deliverablesEnsure contractors understand and deliver on their obligations, and escalate issues as they ariseCollaborate with Planning/Scheduling, Estimating, Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain, Finance and Project GovernanceFollow PC Standards,
Procedures and Templates, and drive adherence to safety complianceSupport project teams with ad-hoc requests and cover for absences as requiredProject Controls Analyst - Cost - Mandatory Skills10+ years of Project Controls experiencePost-secondary degree, diploma or equivalentProject Controls experience in planning/scheduling, project management of change, field progress systems and contractor performance management in a major projects environmentCost control expertise with a solid understanding of procedures and best practicesStrong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills, written and verbalPositive teamwork approach with cross-functional collaborationProject Controls Analyst - Cost - Nice-to-Have SkillsOil and Gas experienceOilsands or Oil and Gas experience with an Owner or EPC organizationWorking knowledge of estimate development, cost processes and toolsSAP and EcosysAssignment Length: Approx. 12 monthsStart Date: TBDAssignment Location: Calgary, AB.
