Chauffeur

As the designated Ambassador of the hotel’s luxury transportation experience, in partnership with Lexus, you deliver exceptional hospitality through refined and personalized service. Combining impeccable professionalism with a genuine ability to anticipate guest needs, you ensure every journey reflects the highest standards of luxury, comfort, and sophistication, embodying the vision and values of both the property and the Lexus brand.

Responsibilities

- Living the Core Values, Mission & Vision: Align daily actions with the hotel’s mission, vision, and five core values, representing the property and Lexus partnership with professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality.
- Luxury Transportation Experience: Serve as the designated Chauffeur and Ambassador for the hotel’s Lexus vehicle, providing safe, comfortable and punctual transportation while delivering a personalized luxury experience for every guest.
- Guest Welcome & Departure: Create exceptional first and last impressions through a warm, polished welcome, assisting guests with entry, departure, and transportation arrangements.
- Guest Assistance & Welcome Ambassador Support: When not assigned to driving duties, actively support the Welcome Ambassador with luggage handling, valet operations, guiding and assisting guest,



and other arrival and departure services to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Vehicle Care & Presentation: Maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of the Lexus vehicle. Conduct routine inspections, promptly report maintenance concerns, and ensure the vehicle reflects the highest standards of the hotel and Lexus brands.
- Valet & Luggage Operations: Safely Park and retrieve guest vehicles as required, securely manage guest keys, assist with luggage, and provide clear directions and parking options.
- Guest Engagement & Local Knowledge: Share recommendations on local attractions, dining, and experiences throughout Oak Bay and Greater Victoria, enhancing the guest journey through thoughtful, informed service.
- Operational Standards & Communication: Follow established safety procedures, maintain accurate records and guest transportation details in designated systems, communicate effectively with Front Office and Guest Services teams, and maintain an organized, welcoming entrance area.

Qualifications

- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a clean, current ICBC driver’s abstract.
- Must be at least 25 years of age to meet applicable hotel and vehicle insurance requirements.




- Previous experience in luxury hospitality, professional driving, concierge, or valet services is preferred, with a strong commitment to discretion, professionalism, and personalized guest service.
- Familiarity with Oak Bay and Greater Victoria, including local attractions, restaurants, hotels, and transportation routes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, polished presentation, sound judgment, and the ability to anticipate guest needs.
- Ability to stand and work outdoors in varying weather conditions, safely lift and move luggage, and assist with valet and other guest services operations.
- Willingness to transition between Chauffeur duties and Welcome Ambassador support as operational needs require, contributing to a seamless and elevated guest experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices, vehicle care, confidentiality, and adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
