Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Within the context of a patient/client and family-centred framework and continuum-based care model and in accordance with established standards of qualified practice and the vision, values and policies of the organization, performs a variety of clerical, reception duties such as receiving visitors and patients, scheduling appointments, answering incoming calls, responding to enquiries and requests for release of Medical Imaging report information, prepares imaging requests for electronic transfer utilizing established computerized system. Provides work direction to designated staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education &

Experience

Grade 12 plus two years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to keyboard at 45 wpm

Knowledge of medical terminology

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Ability to deal with others effectively

Ability to organize work

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position





Ability to operated related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
