Our client, one of the top insurance companies, are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the highest quality of our software products. This role requires a deep understanding of testing frameworks, automation tools, and best practices in software testing. Additionally, the candidate will be required to create and execute manual test cases and develop comprehensive test plans. Advantages Pay rate: $70 to $80 Inc Rate 2 - 3 days hybrid in the office Downtown Toronto location 6 months contract (might be extended) Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including java developers, product owners, IT business analysts, and other test automation developers, to define test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Identify, document, and track bugs and issues to resolution. Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the testing process. Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior test automation engineers. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques. Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Analyze test results, generate test reports, and provide insights to stakeholders.



Ensure compliance with best practices and standards in software testing and quality assurance. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Execute manual test cases and report results The must haves are as follows: Hands-on programming with one or more: Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript, typescript. Solid experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit/TestNG, and performance tools (e.G., JMeter). Hands on experience testing Oracle ERP & payments General Ledger, Accounts Payable Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in test automation development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. Strong experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
