Grocery Department Manager in Training

Real Canadian Superstore is hiring a Department Manager in Training in Penticton, BC. The role includes a comprehensive development program to prepare the successful candidate to lead a department.

Responsibilities

- Learn to oversee daily department operations and deliver customer service.
- Support department sales, profitability, inventory management, merchandising, and operational standards.
- Learn to lead, coach, and develop colleagues and foster an inclusive workplace.
- Work with store leaders to support business goals, labour management, compliance, and store-wide priorities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications





- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Previous retail management experience is an asset.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Adaptable availability, including nights and weekends; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Hiring range: $45,000–$55,000 per year.

Candidates 18 or older must complete a criminal background check.
