THE ROLEWe are looking for the ideal candidate to drive growth and establish a strong presence in our Hinton or Edson location. This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director, playing a pivotal part in shaping the office's direction, building local relationships, and laying the foundation for long-term success. The Insurance Advisor is responsible for overall new business production. These clientele may be principals of commercial or personal accounts or have prominent business and community affiliations. The Insurance Advisor will work alongside commercial producers to generate referrals and grow the book of business with a focus on the retention of both personal and commercial accountsWHAT YOU'LL DODelivering "best in class" additional services to the same assigned group of clients. Additional services would be defined as those "above and beyond" normal transactional services provided to personal and commercial clients,
and may include creating and implementing additional value-added services as appropriate; Participation in growth initiatives on behalf of the Personal Insurance department; Liaise with company underwriters to negotiate best terms for our clients; Increase revenue by identifying recent business opportunities and acquiring new business for the company; Ensure that strong, long-term customer relationships are created by providing value added services; Maintain a current knowledge base of insurance products and services with various insurance companies, including regular, non-standard, and high-net-worth markets; Managing Accounts Receivable of existing client base; Working with Personal Insurance team members to provide an exceptional customer service experience; Other duties asassigned.WHAT WE REQUIRE2 years of personal and commercial insurance experience strongly preferred; Experience withEPIC brokerage software preferred; Level 2 GeneralInsurance license required; Completed or working towards C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation; Solid mentorship skills and teaming capability; the ability to lead andmotivate, delegate, and rally colleagues; A well-defined sense of diplomacy and business acumen with a focus on customer service and the overall client experience; Skill in analysis, problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, teamwork, communication, innovation, and adaptability; Advanced skillsin Microsoft Office Suite and internal Broker Management Systems (EPIC).
