In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Chief Mine Engineer. Collaborating closely with the Engineering and Production Departments, you will support mine projects and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in mining engineering will guide budgetary models, risk management, and operational optimizations necessary for safe and efficient mining practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and update long-term mine plans and surveys • Optimize ventilation systems in collaboration with engineers • Conduct process audits and identify improvement opportunities • Manage multiple capital projects within budget and timeline • Investigate and optimize recent mining methods for efficiency
Requirements: • Accredited degree in Mining Engineering required • 7+ years of mining engineering experience preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office and mining software • Ability to obtain Ontario PE licensure • Strong communication and project management skills
