Position: ECA Instructor / Early Childhood Assistant Instructor

Salary:** $20.50 per hour

Health and Beauty Canadian College (HBCC) is a registered Ontario Career College offering career-focused diploma and certificate programs.
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) Instructor to join our academic team.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have previous teaching experience at Canadian colleges and a strong background in Early Childhood Education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction for the Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) Diploma Program.
- Teach theoretical and practical components of Early Childhood Assistant.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students in developing skilled skills for working in childcare and early learning environments.
- Ensure course content aligns with Ontario's early childhood education standards and program requirements.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and student evaluations.
- Assist with curriculum development, course outlines, and academic documentation.
- Support student preparation for field placements and professional practice.
- Collaborate with college administration to maintain educational quality.
Qualifications
Required:
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and education practices.
- Excellent English communication and instructional skills.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- Familiarity with Ontario childcare and early learning regulations.
Preferred:
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Previous teaching experience at a Canadian college or postsecondary institution.
- Experience teaching ECA or ECE diploma programs.
- Experience developing curriculum, lesson plans, and student assessments.
- Experience supervising or coordinating ECA/ECE student placements.
- Familiarity with Ontario Career College academic requirements.
