Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly, at the door as then enter the shop
- Helping customers assess their needs, and provide personalized frame styling advice to enhance their appearance and comfort
- Ordering prescription glasses and contact lenses in for the customer
- Support optometrists during eye exams by preparing equipment, documenting patient information, and managing clinical procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or similar platforms
- Conduct laboratory tasks including lens measurements, adjustments, and repairs to ensure high-quality eyewear production
- Educate patients on lens options, optical care tips, and proper eyewear maintenance to promote long-term eye health




- Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service to foster loyalty and satisfaction

Requirements

- A passion for providing superb customer service motivated by uncovering new ways to enhance the optical shopping experience
- You have a friendly and outgoing demeanor, while working with customers professionally
- You are reliable and offer flexibility to work retail hours which may include some later nights and weekends
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and optometry is highly desirable
- Previous experience in optical retail sales or as an optometric assistant is preferred
- Laboratory experience with lens fitting, adjustments, or repairs is a strong asset
- Familiarity with retail management principles and sales techniques to meet customer needs effectively
- Experience working with electronic health records systems such as Epic or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage diverse customers
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
