The community of Estevan, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is seeking a team orientated and professional family physician to join the health care team.



The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team providing primary health care services to the community of Estevan and surrounding area, and will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to support the acute care and emergency services in the area.

The is fully accredited district hospital which provides the following services: Acute Care, Obstetrics Ward, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Dialysis Ward, full diagnostics including Laboratory, X-Ray, Ultrasound & CT Services.

The is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the educational needs of medical students, residents, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. The successful candidate will be encouraged to become involved in the academic efforts in the Department of Family Medicine in our area.

Relocation Package

The successful candidate may be eligible for:

- The which provides up to $200,000 over five years to family physicians practicing, or returning to practice, in rural and remote communities in Saskatchewan

Job Qualifications

- Certified or eligible to be certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
- Regular or provisional license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (or eligible to be licensed)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Recommended - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Valid driver’s license
- Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
- Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
