First Cook (NOC 63200)

Job located at 100 Esplanade Avenue, Harrison Hot Springs, BC V0M 1K0. Work location: On site. Must be versatile to a changing schedule and to be able to work any assigned shift as per business requirements, Evening, Shift, Morning, Day, Weekend. Starts as soon as possible.

Salary: 28.11 hourly. This is a Unionized position. Next wage increment to 28.96 is effective in June 2027. Bi-weekly payment. As per collective Agreement, the wage rate could be as below at the start of the employment.

- 0-6 months of employment - 75% of full rate
- 6-12 months of employment - 87.5% of full rate
- After 1 year of employment - 100% - full rate

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, 30 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Tasks

- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Prepare food orders for deliveries and catering orders.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods,




- Asist management in creating new menu ideas,
- Estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies,
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas,
- Supervise and Train junior kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food,
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment,
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Any other duties assigned

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

- Safe Food Handling certificate
- Security and safety: Basic security clearance
