Join the celebrated SMU Dining Services team, reporting to the Executive Chef. In this role, you will prepare food items on the grill, ensure quality customer service, and maintain a clean work area. You'll engage in safety meetings and commit to the standards set by Aramark and Saint Mary's University.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepares and cooks food according to menu specifications
• Supports front line team during customer service
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
• Assists in culinary auditing and temperature checks
• Ensures compliance with food safety policies
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year as a short-order or grill cook
• Experience in large quantity cooking is an asset
• Pursuing Journeyman or Red Seal Certification preferred
• Valid WHMIS and Food Safe Certification beneficial
• Ability to lift at least 25lbs
