Description

Community Futures Visions North is a regional economic development agency providing small business financing, business skills training, business counselling and community economic development services in northern Saskatchewan/ Athabasca basin.

This is a full-time senior management position responsible for the daily operations of the Corporation.

The General

Manager reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the implementation of the Boards strategic vision.

Responsibilities include

- Financial management of the Corporations portfolios
- Compliance with the Corporations policies and regulations
- Leadership and management of qualified staff
- Initiation, implementation, supervision and outcomes of a variety of programs, projects and services designed to facilitate economic development in the Visions North region
- Administration of contractual obligations including federal and provincial service agreements
- Resource to the Board of Directors
- Effective communication with the Board, partners,



communities and other stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate will have :

- Formal accounting knowledge and experience
- Experience in commercial financing and collections
- Senior management experience
- Knowledge and experience in community economic development
- Ability to create and nurture strategic partnerships
- Ability to work with volunteers and a variety of stakeholders
- Proficient with PC based software including Simply Accounting, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Previous public speaking experience and training skills are assets.

The candidate must have a valid drivers license, be willing and able to travel and must be bondable.
