Role Overview

Healthcare environments require a security approach that balances safety with empathy, patience, and clear communication. As a Healthcare Security Officer supporting Dartmouth General Hospital and Nova Scotia Hospital, you will help protect patients, visitors, and healthcare workers in a fast-paced environment. This role exists to maintain a calm, safe, and secure atmosphere where medical staff can deliver care effectively and patients feel protected.

Customer Service: Greet patients, staff,

and visitors, offer directions, and assist people in navigating hospital policies.

Detailed Reporting: Maintain clear shift logs and write accurate, objective reports on incidents, security breaches, and safety concerns.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, site supervisors, and local emergency services to ensure coordinated safety efforts.
