Paladin Security is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect the high-traffic Cobequid Pass Rest Area. In this role, you will monitor safety, assist visitors, and maintain security around the clock. The position requires complete commitment to a rotating shift schedule, including day and night hours, ensuring visitors feel safe and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the facility
• Monitor surveillance systems for safety hazards
• De-escalate conflicts and assist travelers professionally
• Write detailed daily logs and incident reports
• Maintain a visible, reassuring presence for visitors
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Eligibility for a Nova Scotia Security License
• Valid Intermediate First Aid and CPR Level C certification
• Physical capability for a 12-hour shift
