JobDescription:
Outdoor education facilitators are responsible for supervising,instructing, and facilitating groups of 8 – 12 students from grade 5 to 12through a variety of winter outdoor activities. The program focuses on smallgroup initiative challenges, cooperation and problem solving, leadership, andteamwork development. These aims are emphasized throughout visiting students’overnight outdoor education experience and in activities such as snowshoeing, cross-countryskiing, quinzhee building, rappelling and other outdoor activities. Candidatesshould be able to adapt their teaching styles to the different and uniquecharacteristics of each group and program. Work also includes opportunities forprogram development and assisting with site maintenance. Experience withleading groups, teaching,
or outdoor education is an asset.
The job is ideal for candidates who plan to pursue outdoor educationor teaching children on a long-term basis and can use the chance tobroaden their skills and experience. Kandalore truly believes that a strong, successful instructor team needsto be diverse. We encourage all people to apply!

Required:
- Intermediate First Aid (Formerly Standard First Aid with CPR-C)
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
Assets:
- Wilderness Advanced First Aid or Wilderness First Responder Certification
- CANSI XC Instructor
