IAM Analyst to manage user onboarding, offboarding and account provisioning in a Microsoft environment (Entra ID)

Our client is seeking an IAM Analyst to manage user onboarding, offboarding and account provisioning in a Microsoftenvironment (Entra ID).

This role is hybrid with 2 days in office in downtown Calgary.

The successful candidate will able to multi task managing a high volume of onboarding and offboarding ensuring users have the access they need when they need it, and that access is updated or removed as personnel changes.

The successful candidate will be hands-on with Microsoft identity and access technologies, resolving routine issues independently while coordinating with technical teams when additional support is required.

Must Have

- IAM Analyt with hands-on experience with user onboarding, offboarding and account provisioning, including creating, modifying and disabling user accounts.
- Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory (AD), including user accounts, group membership and access permissions.
- Practical administration experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure in a user account or access management context.
- Experience managing user access and troubleshooting login, authentication and access issues, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Ability to manage access requests, resolve routine issues independently and coordinate with technical teams to resolve more complex problems.

Nice to have:
- Experience with Conditional Access policies.
- Experience supporting high-volume onboarding and offboarding, particularly in a project or contractor-heavy environment.
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting tools to support account administration and provisioning.
- Experience working in a service desk or ticketing environment, such as ServiceNow.

- Create, modify and disable user accounts as employees and contractors join, change roles or leave the project.
- Provision and update access, group memberships and permissions across Microsoft identity and productivity platforms.
- Troubleshoot account setup, login, authentication and MFA issues.
- Manage access requests and coordinate with technical teams when issues require additional configuration or escalation.
- Track onboarding and offboarding requests to ensure access changes are completed accurately and on time.
- Support a changing project workforce, balancing multiple requests and responding to shifting onboarding and offboarding priorities.
