About the Opportunity

Field Forge Group, a US-based industrial IoT deployment company, is seeking a motivated and dependable independent contractor for a large-scale IoT installation project throughout Greater Toronto and surrounding Ontario communities.

This is a defined, production-based contract offering substantial earning potential for someone who is organized, productive, and comfortable traveling between multiple customer locations.

We provide in-person project training before independent deployment begins.

Project Size and Geography

- Approximately 677 individual customer locations.
- Approximately 710 IoT devices to install.
- Each customer location may require one or more devices.
- Individual installations typically take 10–15 minutes, excluding travel and documentation.
- Locations are distributed throughout Toronto, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Burlington, Barrie, Niagara and surrounding communities.

Travel expectations:

- Approximately 3,200–4,000 miles (5,150–6,440 km) of total driving is estimated for the full assignment.
- At a 25-installation-per-day pace, this represents roughly 110–140 miles (175–225 km) of driving per working day.
- Driving averages roughly 5 miles (8 km) per customer location across the entire project, including longer regional transfers and returns to the operating base.
- Actual travel varies considerably by daily route and the contractor's home location.




- Customer stops will be organized into geographic groups to reduce unnecessary travel.
- Company-paid hotels may be provided for preapproved remote portions of the route.

Compensation
- US$20 per successfully completed and accepted installation, approximately CA$28.53 per device.
- Approximately 710 available installations.
- Estimated contract value: US$14,200 / CA$20,255.
- Multiple devices completed at the same customer location are paid individually.
- At 25 accepted installations daily, potential gross earnings are approximately CA$713 per day.
- Compensation is production-based, not hourly.

Contractors supply their own vehicle and pay for fuel, vehicle maintenance, insurance and routine transportation expenses. Fuel and mileage are not reimbursed.

Schedule and Duration

- Project start: As soon as onboarding and training are completed.
- Expected production: 20–30+ installations per productive day, depending on route density and individual efficiency.
- Estimated completion: 24–36 productive working days.
- Customer access generally available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days per week.
- Contractors determine their own working days and hours within customer-access requirements.
- Consistent availability to complete the assignment promptly is important.

Requirements
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's licence.
- Cordless drill/driver and basic hand tools.




- Working smartphone with camera, mobile data and compatibility with field-service applications.
- Ability to use GPS navigation and manage a multi-stop route.
- Ability to follow installation procedures and accurately document completed work.
- Strong communication and dependable work habits.
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Experience in field installations, technical service, telecommunications, equipment maintenance or similar work is helpful but not required.

Training Provided

Field Forge Group will provide in-person training, including:

- Installation procedures and required tools.
- Mobile application and work-order documentation.
- Required installation photographs and verification.
- Route management and quality-control expectations.
- Troubleshooting common installation issues.

Field Forge Group — High-Velocity Field Deployment for Industrial IoT

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Estimated contract earnings assume completion and acceptance of all assigned devices. Actual compensation depends on approved installations. CAD amounts are illustrative; final currency conversion and payment terms will be specified in the contractor agreement.

Pay: $45.00-$75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
