Job Summary

Dr. Farid Optometry & Optical is seeking a passionate, patient-focused, and dedicated Associate Optometrist to join our growing practice in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive eye examinations for adults, children, and seniors, including OHIP-insured and private patients.
- Diagnose, manage, and monitor ocular conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and dry eye disease.
- Conduct refraction, binocular vision assessments, visual acuity testing, and comprehensive ocular health evaluations.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other appropriate vision correction solutions.
- Identify patients who may benefit from advanced diagnostic testing, including OCT and visual field testing.
- Provide dry eye assessments and recommend personalized treatment plans, including advanced treatment options when clinically indicated.
- Educate patients on preventive eye care, ocular health, and available treatment options.




- Collaborate with experienced opticians and clinic staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Maintain accurate and complete electronic patient records.
- Build lasting patient relationships through compassionate, professional, and personalized care.

Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Optometrists of Ontario.
- Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to evidence-based eye care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills.
- Comfortable providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages.
- Experience with contact lens fitting, dry eye management, myopia control, and ocular disease management is an asset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a professional support team.
