Job Summary

Bourgault is looking for a motivated engineering student with a passion for agriculture to join our R&D; Engineering team in St. Brieux!

Responsibilities
Use SolidWorks to develop computer models of current product components or modify existing products/components
Conduct design analysis and refinement.
Communicate with vendors to specify and obtain outsourced components.
Assist with prototype assembly and field testing.
Communicate with other teams (purchasing, manufacturing, service, etc.) to ensure successful product change integration.
Occasional travel to various field test locations.

Required Skills/Experience
Currently enrolled in an engineering program (mechanical preferred)
Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
Experience doing structural analysis with FEA software is an asset
Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
High level of analytical thought and creativity
A solid knowledge of and interest in current farming practices and related technology is an asset
Enjoy working in a hands-on environment that supports being self-directed!
