Job Description Qualifications and Experience:
15+ years of demonstrable experience, preferably in thedesign, development, upgrade, document and full life-cycle implementation ofWork and Asset Management solutions using IBM Maximo MAS, Maximo Mobile, andMaximo 7.6.x.
12+ years of extensive experience leading large-scale IBMMaximo implementations, including project delivery, system migrations, testing,upgrades, and major go-lives.
Strong background in leading development teams, providingtechnical direction, and supporting all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Proficient in providing expert advice, solution design, andpost-implementation support for Maximo and Maximo Mobile applications.
Solid understanding of enterprise integrations, automationframeworks, and cloud technologies, ensuring scalable and maintainablesolutions.
Skilled in gathering business requirements, mapping businessprocesses, designing Maximo-based solutions, and supporting program-levelchange management initiatives.
Experienced in legacy data conversion, data mapping, anddata migration - managing the process end-to-end with accuracy andaccountability.
Strong involvement in system and application testing,including developing test cases, executing unit and system tests, andvalidating results for quality assurance.
Adept at collaborating with stakeholders across divisionsand business units to build consensus, drive decision-making, and resolvetechnical challenges.
Recognized for excellent communication, presentation, andproblem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate complex technicalconcepts to diverse audiences.
Technical Capabilities:
Customization: Experience in Maximo Business Objects &Web; Beans (Java), Automation Scripts (Java, Python or other scriptinglanguages)
Integration:



Experience designing and implementingintegrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)
Web Technologies: Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQLAPIs, and web services
Version Control: Proficient in Git or similar tools (e.g.,Docker)
Reporting: Proficient in BIRT Report design and development,Dashboarding using BI tools
Database: Strong skills in Oracle SQL and DB2 – queries andscript development
Spatial Configuration: Strong knowledge of Maximo Spatialconfiguration & ArcGis
Maximo Versions: Experience with Maximo 9.x and 7.6.xconfiguration and application development
Mobile: Experience with Maximo Mobile development andsupport
Requirements Maximo Subject Matter Expert (SME) is required to supportthe EWMS Program in implementing work management solutions within the City'stechnology ecosystem. The SME will be responsible for leading both thefunctional and technical aspects of Maximo solution development—includingconfiguration design, system integrations, custom Maximo applications, andmobile solutions while ensuring a high standard of quality throughout.
Additionally, the SME will overse the end-to-endrealization of the solution, from design through to testing and go-livedeployment. The ideal candidate must possess deep expertise in Maximo WorkManagement processes, including experience with implementation challenges andstrategies for effective resolution.
Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, andcollaborate with stakeholders at various levels.




Work closely with City Divisions and assist in configuringor implementing Maximo system as per City’s divisional requirements to buildconsensus and resolve technical challenges.
Lead Divisional workshops and create functional designdocuments
Work closely with City vendors to ensure qualitydeliverables
Manage testing of the product via project resources andassist in promoting the code to SIT/QA for UAT.
Oversee the preparation of test plans, test cases,scenarios, and result documents.
Prioritize tasks and focus on the significant tasks based ontheir due dates.
Set realistic deadlines and consider all factors involved incompleting the project or task before setting a deadline.
Be reliable and consistently meeting deadlines, build trustand credibility with divisions and stakeholders.
Track problems, defects, and issues within a largeproject.
Analyse results and creating reports for Management whenneeded.
Identify dependencies and define them clearly so that eachteam member knows what needs to be completed before moving on.
Assure the quality product or feature of Maximo is deliveredfor City.
Provide assessments and recommendations of new technologytrends on the effective use and acquisition for the City.
