Centre for the Aged is seeking a dedicated Recreationist to support therapeutic recreation initiatives. In this permanent part time position, you will assess residents' goals and interests while designing adaptive activities to promote their independence and well-being. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enrich recreational offerings. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement therapeutic programs with residents
Document and report required assessments and progress
Attend interprofessional meetings to align goals
Supervise and train volunteers effectively
Maintain program supplies and resources Requirements:
Two-year College Diploma in Recreation or Activation
Minimum 1 year experience in a Recreationist role
Preferred membership in Therapeutic Recreation Ontario
Skills in evaluating creative recreation programs
