Responsibilities
Manage and underwriteprogram/portfolio risks with delegated underwriting authority.
Perform individual risk underwriting on the side
Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and MGAs.
Participate in reinsurance negotiations as needed.
Contribute to product development, including wording interpretation and manual creation.
Work independently with limited supervision to meet business goals.
Collaborate with team members to support company growth and diversification.
Qualifications
2 or more years of proven experience in program or delegated underwriting, preferably within brokers or MGAs.
Strong technical skills in risk assessment and underwriting.
Tech-savvy with openness to AI tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
Relevant industry certifications and a background in commercial insurance.
