Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Shelter Resource Worker in Courtenay, BC. This full time, temporary position focuses on supporting homeless adults and connecting them to essential services.

In your role as a Shelter Resource Worker, you'll report to the Site Manager and assist adults facing multiple barriers such as homelessness, addictions, and mental health issues. You will perform intakes, provide orientations, and support guests throughout their stay at the shelter, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide supervision and assistance to homeless adults
• Accept referrals and connect guests with resources
• Conduct interviews and supply basic necessities




• Maintain accurate records and statistical data
• Support new staff and help others in need

Requirements:
• Certificate or Grade 12 with two years of related experience
• Familiarity with community services like addiction and mental health
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector required
