Job Description
Mandate Overview:
The client is looking for a business and functional analystto support the group insurance data mart through its final delivery in 2027.The data mart integrates several legacy systems and the current group insurancesystem in an Azure environment, with Power BI reporting. The role sits at theinterface between the business units and the BI development team. It involvestranslating reporting and dashboard needs into usable functionalspecifications, then validating deliverable compliance in UAT. The data dimensionis explicit: modeling, understanding of ETL flows and validation of the sourcesused in reports. The mandate adds a broader solution analysis component(business cases, solution issues, collaboration with the business architect),which complements the BI core without replacing it.

Target candidate:
a business or functional analystwho has already led BI or analytics projects end to end on the requirementsside. In practice: workshops run with stakeholders, specifications written forPower BI or equivalent developers, and acceptance testing performed ondelivered reports. Their understanding of data modeling and ETL allows them tovalidate where the data comes from and to work directly with technical teams.

Requirements
Key Requirements:

Business and/or functional analysis experience in a BI oranalytics context

Running working sessions with business stakeholders





Writing functional specifications for BI development teams

Understanding of data modeling, ETL and analyticsenvironments

Hands-on knowledge of Power BI or other data visualizationtools

Multidisciplinary collaboration (IT, PO, architects,developers, business experts)

Effective oral and written communication in French

Required:

Business and/or functional analysis experience in a BI oranalytics context

Running working sessions with business stakeholders

Writing functional specifications for BI development teams

Understanding of data modeling, ETL and analyticsenvironments

Hands-on knowledge of Power BI or other data visualizationtools

Multidisciplinary collaboration (IT, PO, architects,developers, business experts)

Effective oral and written communication in French

Asset:

Proficiency in JIRA (task management and agile tracking) andYOGI (requirements management)

Knowledge of agile or hybrid development environments

Profilementioning Power BI report development without demonstrated responsibility forrequirements elicitation or functional specification writing.

Businessanalyst profile whose engagements are all outside BI, analytics or data(transactional system implementations, operational process analysis only).

Profilementioning workshop participation without a demonstrated facilitation role.

ProductOwner or project lead profile presented as equivalent, with no analysisdeliverables on the resume (requirements, specifications, use cases).

Profilewith no mention of data modeling, ETL, data warehouse or data mart.
