Mill Helper – Heavy Equipment Technician/ Millwright Apprentice

Pay Rate-$28.15/hour

Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–1:30 AM

We are hiring a Mill Helper for a heavy industrial quarry operation in Woodstock, Ontario. This hands-on mechanical role involves performing maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and industrial machinery while assisting experienced Millwrights with day-to-day maintenance activities.

We are looking for candidates with experience in heavy equipment maintenance, mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, or millwright work who are comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform and assist with preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
Assist Millwrights with mechanical maintenance, equipment installation, fitting, and assembly.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components, including bearings, gearboxes, pumps, belts, and conveyors.
Work on quarry equipment such as crushers, screens, and related machinery.
Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks.




Assist with welding and fabrication as required.
Identify equipment issues and report maintenance concerns.
Follow all site safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.

Requirements
Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician, Millwright Apprentice, Industrial Mechanic, or in a similar mechanical role.
Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment or industrial machinery.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with hand and power tools.
Ability to work safely outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces.
Mechanical drawings, welding, and fabrication experience are assets.
Must pass respirator fit testing and be clean-shaven where the respirator seals.
English communication skills required.
Three to five years of relevant mechanical experience preferred.
