About the Role

Our client, a leading name in the retail sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Retail Store Manager to oversee operations in their Kimberley, Northern Cape branch. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Kimberley retail store, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing retail team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Drive sales performance through effective sales strategies, product knowledge, and exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct stock takes, and implement effective stock control measures to minimize loss.
- Ensure outstanding visual merchandising and store presentation to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.




- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations within the store.
- Manage store budgets and financial performance, working towards achieving sales and profit targets.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for all staff members.

Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a retail management role, with at least 2 years as a Senior Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a similar environment.
- Proven ability to drive sales, achieve targets, and manage budgets effectively.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in stock management, visual merchandising, and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in using retail Point of Sale (POS) systems and other relevant software.
- A passion for the retail industry and a deep understanding of consumer behaviour.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required by the business needs in Kimberley .
- A proactive and results-oriented approach to management.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Retail is advantageous but not essential if extensive experience is demonstrated.
