Our Chalk River location is hiring a Manager, Nuclear Materials and Safeguards Management to lead the secure procurement, accounting, storage, and handling of nuclear materials and serve as CNL's primary point of contact for nuclear materials accounting and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards activities. What you will be doing! Developing, maintaining, and implementing an effective Nuclear Materials & Safeguard Management (NM&SM) functional support area (FSA) that meets both regulatory requirements and user needs. Monitoring and reporting on new/changing regulations,



technical matters and technological developments in International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards (e.G. seals, data analysis) and providing recommendations for program implementation at CNL sites in Canada: Chalk River Laboratories, Whiteshell Laboratories, Gentility-1 Waste Facilities, Douglas Point Waste Facility and La Prade Heavy Water Storage Facility. Strengthening and maintaining interfaces and implementation with other CNL groups, including NM&SM FSA users, support services and other Functional Support Areas, to ensure compliance with regulations. Supporting the development and maintenance of FSA documentation in accordance with CNL's management system standards. Supporting the development of area-specific training for CNL groups to meet NM&SM FSA requirements.
