Responsibilities
Process and record incoming payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile customer accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues promptly.
Manage accounts receivable aging reports, follow up on overdue invoices, and negotiate payment arrangements with clients when necessary.
Maintain detailed records of transactions, adjustments, and correspondence related to accounts receivable activities.
Collaborate with the accounting team to assist with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and account analysis.
Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email by addressing billing inquiries professionally and efficiently.
Support month-end closing procedures by preparing reports and performing account analysis to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
Requirements
Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft is essential.
Robust knowledge of accounts receivable processes, bookkeeping, and basic accounting principles.
Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective negotiation skills to facilitate collections while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, perform account reconciliation, and identify discrepancies.
Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with clients professionally.
Familiarity with accounts payable processes is a plus but not required.
Basic math skills combined with solid analysis capabilities to interpret financial information accurately.
