We are a ten-person CPA firm in North York serving a long-standing client base of successful owner-managed businesses and their shareholders.

We are looking for an experienced CPA with a minimum of five years of Canadian public accounting experience who is capable of independently managing a portfolio of small-business clients.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:
Manage a significant client base of owner-managed business clients and clients with substantial investment portfolios.
Prepare and review compilation engagements and year-end financial statements.
Prepare and review T2 corporate income tax returns.
Prepare and review T1 personal income tax returns.
Handle GST/HST filings and related issues.




Assist clients with CRA inquiries, reviews and correspondence.
Provide practical tax and accounting advice to business owners.
Review bookkeeping and working papers and identify required adjustments.
Manage client deadlines and ensure information is obtained and files are completed on time.
Communicate directly with clients regarding their accounting, tax and business matters.
Supervise and provide guidance to junior accounting and bookkeeping staff where required.
