Lead community growth as the Director of Development Services for the Township of Esquimalt. This role seeks a energetic leader to guide planning and development initiatives.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will shape community growth through impactful development projects and long-term planning. With a minimum of 7 years in senior development management, you will influence housing, land use, and environmental policies while fostering community engagement. Your leadership will help bring council priorities to life in a welcoming and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee transformative development projects for the community
• Guide long-term housing and land use planning initiatives
• Facilitate community engagement and stakeholder collaboration




• Advise on complex planning matters with political acumen
• Ensure alignment with organizational goals and community needs

Requirements:
• Postgraduate degree in Planning or related field
• 7+ years of municipal development management experience
• Class 5 BC driver’s license required
• Eligible for membership in Canadian Institute of Planners
• Combination of education and experience may be considered
