LIVE-IN or Live-Out Caregiver/Nanny. NON-Smoker. She has moderate-severe Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia. Our PERFECT FIT would be a Live-OUT who can stay consecutive overnights as we enjoy respite. Also would love a day-time Backup, so interviewing multiple candidates.. ONLY mature, quiet, honest female nannies for my mom who has moderate dementia. My mom is quiet and just sits and watches tv, she toilets and transfers herself. She is quite content and independent aside from meals and supervision. It is a calm and quiet atmosphere. Positions available: Live-IN on Payroll $3,000/Month for 21 working days or less, and remaining calendar days off, they can fluctuate in the calendar month. To begin, the salary is more for an on-call while you live-in if we feel like leaving the home and doing our own thing, but the $3,000 gives you job security and availability to us. We are jut looking for more freedom to come and go while someone is here. Applicant must be a QUIET, CALM EASY GOING person as we like our space a relaxing atmosphere and some boundaries established if sharing home. We've had care workers for a couple of years now and the stimulation can be exhausting in the home if too high energy (as friendly as we are). In order to fill the Live-In Role for WHEN my mom declines physically, caregiver must be qualified to care for people with dementia, redirect, bathing, toileting, understanding sundowning, agitation. My mom rarely ever presents these. Her routine is mirrored every day. Her demeanor is VERY quiet, no looping, rarely paces, just loves sitting on the couch and watching tv.



She no longer initiates conversation. Currently it is a quiet, easy, boring job just being present in the home. My mom sleeps well through the night. In her current state, it really is only supervision, providing meals, cleaning during day and just being present or on call if we like to leave home (husband and I) RATE INCLUDES, housing with own room with bed, furniture, tv, meals adaptable payroll or cash Live-Out: Contracted work $25/hour plus Overnight watch with daytime (24hr) $400/day Hours: (Live-Out) Hours are flexible and change every week. We like to be out on the water with our boat often for multiple nights in the warmer months and rainy months just out of the house being active or social events. Hours and days to work may be in chunks then consecutive days with several days off in between. Hours are active duty during day and inactive sleep watch with sleeping accommodations. Light gardening and plant care (bonus)

Must be able to work with Alzheimer's (short-term memory loss)

Providing meals cooking well balanced diet, so cooking is a must.

Requirements

Preferred nanny/in-home "care" giving experience with strong references.

Criminal Record Check Drivers Abstract (NOT required for Live-IN and do not drive)

Must be able to adapt how my mom is and our routine for her, she is not into "memory care" activities, puzzles, games, exercises, etc.

She likes her space and just relaxes.

We take her on outings when we are home.

Our home is a relaxed atmosphere with a large backyard oasis with gardens and a patio.
