Support Worker Opportunity at Group Home 1 - Sibling Home

Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day care and support of individuals in our home. Your responsibilities will include administering medication, assisting with trauma-informed care, and preparing nutritious, child-friendly meals in line with the Canadian Food Guide and program directions. Daily cleaning duties are part of the role, as well as navigating stairs regularly throughout the home.

You’ll also contribute to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment by applying your First Aid/CPR training and ensuring food safety standards are met. Working as part of a team, you’ll collaborate with others to provide the highest level of care and support.





Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to cook healthy, child-friendly meals.
- Training or certification in Trauma-Informed Care, ASSIST, Food Safety, and First Aid/CPR.
- A team player with a strong work ethic and a caring attitude.
