Survey Technician / Geostructural Field Technician Opportunity

Atlas Geostructural Inc. is seeking a motivated Survey Technician or Geostructural Field Technician to support precision monitoring, construction layout, geotechnical instrumentation, and field engineering activities on active construction and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will support our engineering and field teams on active construction projects involving deep foundations, excavation support systems, ground improvement, and structural/geotechnical monitoring.

Responsibilities

- Perform precision monitoring surveys for settlement, displacement, and structural movement.
- Conduct construction layout for shoring, caissons, foundations, and other structural elements.
- Establish survey control points, benchmarks, and monitoring networks.
- Operate total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and levelling equipment.
- Process survey data and prepare monitoring reports, plans, and drawings using AutoCAD.
- Conduct pre-construction and post-construction condition surveys.
- Assist with vibration monitoring and geotechnical instrumentation.
- Support tieback proof, performance,



and lift-off testing, where required.
- Support helical pile and micropile load testing, where required.
- Assist with geotechnical field inspections and QA/QC documentation.

Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and construction surveying.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and survey plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Sokkia, Leica, Trimble, or AutoCAD is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle required.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
