About the Role

Cobalt Construction is looking for a skilled and reliable Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team on a Fly-In / Fly-Out basis in the Yukon .

We are looking for an experienced mechanic who is comfortable working in a remote environment and is committed to keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready to support our civil construction projects throughout the Yukon.

This is a great prospect for a qualified mechanic looking for steady, long-term work with competitive wages and a FIFO schedule .

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect, diagnose, and repair highway trucks and trailers
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing
- Complete annual inspections and CVIPs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Diagnose and repair truck and trailer systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, and driveline components
- Perform field repairs and maintenance as required
- Maintain equipment to a high standard of safety and reliability
- Work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintain a clean, safe,



and organized work environment

Qualifications & Requirements

- Licensed Journeyperson or Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic preferred, or equivalent experience
- Certified CVIP Inspector
- Strong knowledge of highway trucks and trailer systems
- Experience with diagnostic tools and repair procedures
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Previous experience working in remote or camp-based environments is an asset
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong work ethic and safety-first attitude
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to work a FIFO rotation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass required site safety requirements
